September 30 is Orange Shirt & National Truth and Reconciliation Day
The Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Circle of Newfoundland and Labrador are honoring all survivors today and every day!
Thank you, Phyllis Webstad for your courage to provide everyone with education and awareness with your orange shirt and that Every Child Matters! You are a strong indigenous woman!
We remember today and every day the little ones who did not return home to their families who will be forever changed. They are not forgotten!
As an organization we strive to continue to be a voice for all indigenous people. There are still many barriers that we face in a system that is not ours.
Always speak your truth, take your stand when it isn’t so favorable and never be afraid to be a change maker, if you feel it in your spirit, follow it!
Let’s all make our ancestors proud as we walk with intention today and every day!
